Rough Cuts :: 15.01 Love, Europe, World of Zygmunt Bauman

In this month's programme Anna Piwowarska speaks to the makers of the documentary film about the world renowned Polish philosopher and sociologist, Zygmunt Bauman.

The film's director, Krzysztof Rzączyński, tells us how he came to make this documentary and the creative process behind portraying Bauman. Michał Popiel-Machnicki, the director of photography, describes creating images illustrating Bauman's philosophy and working with a protagonist, who used to be a photographer himself.

Love, Europe, World of Zygmunt Bauman was commissioned by the National Audiovisual Institute as a part of the Cultural Program of the Polish EU Presidency in 2011. It was filmed in Leeds, Warsaw and Tel-Aviv.
