The meeting, which starts on Friday, is the largest get-together of the country’s NGOs.
The Forum of Nongovernmental Initiatives is held in the Polish capital every three years. This year's event will feature an NGO picnic on the city’s landmark Krakowskie Przedmieście Street on Saturday.
The motto of this year's get-together is “freedom and other values.”
About 100,000 nongovernmental organisations operate throughout Poland. Most of them are associations and foundations dealing with sports, education and culture. (gs/pk)
