The European Commission (EC) has refuted Warsaw's claims that the EU executive arm has no grounds to interfere in Poland's internal affairs.

The statement came following the country’s rejection of EC 's “grave concerns” over judicial reforms.
"Poland respects the rule of law and is a democratic nation...Fundamental values of the European Union are important to us," Polish Prime Minister Beata Szydlo said in a video statement on Twitter.
