Janusz Reiter, who served as Poland’s ambassador in the United States between 2005 and 2007 says that the US and Europe are drifting apart.
Following the re-election of Barack Obama on Tuesday, Janusz Reiter tells our reporter Michal Kubicki that transatlantic relationships are in a crisis, “not only because Obama shifted attention from Europe to Asia but mainly because Europe has failed to respond to the fact that the world has been changing”.
He stresses that “as long as we don’t address this problem, in Europe, in Poland, in Central Europe, there will be no new sense of mission in the transatlantic relations”.
