President Bronislaw Komorowski is preparing for a visit to China, where he will be looking to attract more Chinese investment to Poland.
The president will sign the agreement several companies, including the China State Engineering & Construction Company (San’a) when he arrives in China on 19 December.
Poland is keen to reduce the trade imbalance with China, where imports greatly outstrip exports.
In 2007 and 2008, China was exporting to Poland goods to the value of some 14 times that of Poland’s exports to China.
Poland remains, however, the biggest Chinese partner in trade in Central Europe, after Hungary, in terms of exports. (pg)
