Lotos confirmed that Robert Pietryszyn, the head of the company’s supervisory board, will become the interim chief executive, Reuters said.
Paweł Olechnowicz served as CEO of Lotos since March 2002. He was the longest-serving CEO of a state-owned company since the fall of communism in 1989. His current term was set to end in 2018.
The move is the latest in a long line of reshuffles in the management boards of state-owned companies since the Law and Justice (PiS) party won Poland's October general elections. (rg/pk)
