“Shakespeare and Poland” is two weeks of live theatre, music, film and discussions with Polish and British academics.
Hosted at London’s Globe theatre, the festival includes events to mark the 150th anniversary of the birth of Polish playwright and artist Stanisław Wyspiański.
On the closing day of the festival, Poland’s renowned Song of the Goat Theatre group is scheduled to perform Songs of Lear, a show inspired by Shakespeare’s tragedy King Lear.
The festival runs until July 6.
